Unable to apply 2 type of leave on the same date

Hi,
My organization is now using HR.my as a base for a leave application.
I found out that we cannot apply the same date even it is a different type of leave.

Information:
Emergency Leave (EL) - allow to apply immediately
Annual Leave (AL) - allow to apply 3days before leave

Example:
Mary had an EL on Monday due to some issue.
Coming back to work on Tuesday and apply an EL thru system.
Employer receive the application and advise HR admin to deduct from AL.
HR admin add a new AL application on the same date EL.
Unfortunately, the system cannot allowed same date to be applied.
But still we want the EL record as we need to monitor how much employee has been taking an Emergency Leave.
We also don't want to edit an Annual Leave entitlement.
As of now, we put the next date to deduct an AL, which is it will appear in calendar that she is on leave (in actual, she is working)

Appreciate you to advise the solution to key-in the same date.
Or any other idea on this issue since we need to capture both leave.

Thanks.

Hi,

My understanding is that, EL is a type of AL, which allows employee to be applied without any prior notice. In this case, what if I extend HR.my to support a new leave application policy, i.e. employers may indicate leaves apply immediately to be labelled as EL?

Wow! That's a great solution.

As per my boss requirement, she only allowed 2days free for EL. More than that will be deducted AL.

If you add a new policy as you mentioned, meaning that any employee apply for backdated annual leave, then it will automatically labelled as EL. Right? And it will deduct AL entitlement also.

Correct me if im wrong.

Thanks.

Hmm... you are right, applying backdated annual leave will label it as EL too. Seems like something else is missing in this solution.
