Hi There,

Thanks for the HR.my and Payroll.my. will they be FOC forever? :P

I wonder if the Payroll.my is based on MTD 2013? i got a different PCB reduction using payroll.my and MTD 2013.

Maybe someone here can help me out with the calculation as i'm new in handling PCB for employee

Example 1:
married with 2 children, spouse is working
Basic RM4000, with allowance RM1000

Example 2:
single
Basic RM5000 without allowance

Thanks :)

Hi,

HR.my and Payroll.my will be FOC forever, even if later on premium features may be introduced, I will still make sure that most features are free to be accessed by SMEs.

Regarding PCB 2013, recently I received quite a few inquiry on the same, but my question is whether PCB 2013 the latest that already incorporates Budget 2014 announcement? If so I will start working on the upgrade, but if it's not, I may want to wait until Jan 2014 to see if there is such PCB 2014.

Can you help me to confirm at this issue?

Thanks.

Hi,

I just called up the accountant & auditor who handle our company tax and they confirmed that PCB 2013 shall be applied as for now. Anyway, they are unsure whether PCB 2013 is the latest that already incorporates budget 2014.

back to my question, can you show me the calculation for the 2 example? I'm confused about the tax reduction for employee with and without allowance.

thanks

I see. Never mind, I think I will find some time to roll out the support for PCB 2013 soon.

Regarding the calculation, allowance should be treated as part of salary, hence the salary for both cases will be 5000. The only difference is their category, i.e. single or married with 2 kids.

Thanks.

Thanks! :)

to confirm about the payroll.my,
"Salary" = basic w/o deduction of EPF?
"Bonus" = allowance/incentive...?

When i apply my example 1 into Payroll.my, i get result as in attachment 1
Isn't that tax should be RM176 according to PCB 2013? please let me know if I made the wrong calculation, it is my first time doing PCB for company :P
Basic remuneration : 4000 - 440 = 3560
additional remuneration : 1000
total : 4560
RM4560 under category KA2 is RM176

Also, in attachment 2
tax should be RM183 instead of RM189 right? basic remuneration = 5000 - 550 = 4450

thanks again
