Investor or contribution

Hi Zam,

Thanks for bring up this issue. In fact, I lost some users when I told them that HR.my will be free, as they shared the same concerns as you, i.e. free service won't last.

In my plan, HR.my will be targeting mainly small or some medium size businesses. I intend to make it free for which ever features that won't require a lot of financial investment from me. Anyhow, I have also thought of possibly providing some premium features that could allow HR.my to have a stable income so that the development could be sustained, such features may include subscription to additional storage for images uploaded for leave application (such as medical certificates etc). But these are still a very vague thought so far (and more importantly, may not be well received).

Meanwhile, I am not sure too if there are more existing or new users who would support the same idea as yours of seeing HR.my being sustained by stable revenue streams.

Do you have any more specific suggestion that could help us sustain HR.my's development?

p/s Another alternative might be, try to raise some fund for the future development of HR.my, hence making it much more credible that offering HR.my as a free service is still viable

Ha, thanks for your suggestion. Don't worry about the server cost for now, I could still afford it. What I probably can't afford is additional storage for users for big image files, such as MC or others, that's also the reason I don't want to develop this feature first ^^

I agree with your point completely, i.e. most small companies can't afford to buy HR software, that's also why I wanted to make it free as long as I could afford.

For now, I think your best contribution would be to tell me what else feature you need to help your business succeed. I really wanted to make HR.my useful for businesses that jump in and to facilitate the communications among employees.

Thanks Fahimi, this is truly an option that I should consider about. I really hope that I could make HR.my a valuable platform for my users, while I could build a career on it too ^^
