Sick Leave was created by Le Garrin

I have a medical certificate that begins 1st October which is a Saturday and is an off day, but it should still count as part of sick leave.
Ordinarily if sick leave begins on a work day and runs through the weekend it would count calendar days. However I cannot enter sick leave that begins on a weekend, it must begin on a workday. Is there a way to change that so that sick leave can be begin on any day of the week regardless if it is a weekend?

This is not how it works, as far as I know, no employees apply leaves on their rest days.
